Vision:
To
make the world a better place to live by working with individuals
and organizations that are ethical, that believe in education
as a service, that have a concern for all human beings,
and are doing something tangible for addressing their immediate
needs such as health, hunger, and shelter.
• Mission:
- To be ethical in all aspects of living.
- To promote four essentials of democracy: food, shelter,
health, and education.
- To identify socially conscious businesses, corporations,
and individuals and work cooperatively with them to enhance
the opportunities for the ‘have-nots’.
- To create something of value at Harpude, a village in
India, and the birth place of all siblings of the President
of Haluke, Murli Pendharkar, where no Pendharkar lives anymore,
to commemorate the good time all siblings had during their
childhood.
- To demonstrate retirement as an opportunity for exciting
adventures.
- To be useful always to someone, somewhere in the world.
• A MAN OF INTEGRITY:
Today we wish to
salute a great Rotarian
And a professional educator,
A man whose life makes a difference
Is our friend MURLI PENDHARKAR.
Murli is the kind of person
With deep commitment we can tell,
And whatever he chooses to do
We know he does it very well.
In serving the community
It gives him greatest pleasure,
And when he moved to Kelowna
We were blessed with a precious treasure.
A most gracious host and hostess,
As many of us have tasted and seen
That MURLI and SUDHA PENDHARKAR
Make a most hospitable team.
Red Cross, politics,
education, travel, Rotary
Are only some of his life’s quests,
So today we salute a gentle man
Who quietly and lovingly gives of his best
God bless our dear
friend and Rotarian,
What more can we possibly say
But to express our deepest gratitude
That God did set him come this way.
THANK YOU MURLI!!
